The CDC has turned off its vaccine search tool.

The vaccines.gov site now gives an error when you enter a valid zip code.

They also removed text saying “Vaccines can help you stay healthy” and added a banner saying the site is being updated.

Men claim women talk too much, but boy if you get that man on a panel, he will over talk every woman present in the room.

This story outlines a common theme in the Trump admin: 20,000 young adults were given just 5 days' notice when this program was cut, leaving them to find housing, health care, food, and new job training out of the blue—in a program specifically for people who were struggling to secure those things.
Commentary: Abruptly closing Job Corps, a career training program for young people in unstable situations, is a profound abandonment of a proven investment in public health, community stability and economic opportunity. minnesotareformer.com/2025/07/23/c...
Closing Job Corps is not just bad policy — it’s a profound abandonment • Minnesota Reformer

If you care about Medicaid, I need your help. These kids are the best chance we have of saving Medicaid.

Families are on the way to DC. We need to cover van rentals and hotel rooms. I will not, I will NOT, waste your money or time.

Can you help get this donation link in front of your people?
We have @littlelobbyists.com families on the way to Washington DC right now, they'll be on the House-side of the Capitol tomorrow. We're going to make them see us before they vote to kill disabled children.

If you can help cover the costs of this urgent action:

CLARIFICATION :

The Trevor Project's hotline will still be live. But basically this means LGBTQ people can no longer be connected to it through the US national 988 suicide prevention hotline.

They will need to be contacted DIRECTLY

So spread this around

They can be texted. They can be called.

All the credit that Tim Walz got as a VP candidate for good stuff that Minnesota has done? Melissa Hortman (and a bunch of other women) led the hard fight to get bills on his desk and make it politically safe for him to sign.

I don’t even know how to convey to people outside of public health how devastating this is.. and to include so many non-controversial, bedrock public health functions like food inspections, ffs. Seems their utter foolishness is as boundless as their cruelty.

3. But current and former employees warn the bureau — which for years has been dealing with short-term funding and staffing challenges — is under unique strain. It is well into preparations for the #2030Census, which is set to be used to redistribute political representation and federal funding

I have a ticket to the Fauci lecture at the U tonight but frankly can’t stomach any more conversation about how fcked public health is after another day of witnessing it up close. Just hours of conversation with colleagues and community partners who are devastated, disillusioned, and despondent. 💔

Brutal day at MDH amidst a dark time for all of public health. My heart aches for the many colleagues & partners who deserve so much better. And many of us are holding our breath, wondering if we’re next, knowing the cuts & disruption are far from over. I hate this so much. 💔

This is a very bad look, @governorwalz.mn.gov. Remote telework is still safer for employees and their families. It's better for the environment, reduces road infrastructure wear, and it opens career pathways for disabled, marginalized, and underrepresented people to work.

WFH: I grab coffee, lunch, groceries from businesses *in my neighborhood.* That I should work from another city so biz there can theoretically get my $ instead is not only absurd, it’s selfish af. Plus I’ll have far less spare time, money or energy to support ANY local businesses for non-essentials.

As a daughter of small business owners, I’m intimately familiar with the struggle. It impacted my whole damn childhood. AND. I care infinitely more about the wellbeing of my colleagues who are disabled and/or working moms and/or people of color than I do about saving shops & bars the next town over.

Loved finding out about the RTO mandate within two hours of learning that many millions of dollars in federal support was being yanked, effective as of *the day before.* But sure, underpaid, overextended state employees should be taking this news better. 🙄
