This is such a brilliant article: we know what causes long COVID and we know how to treat it - but where is the urgency to invest in the clinical trials needed?

Read how development banks EBRD, IFC and ADB are failing victims of #HumanRights violations at #IndoramaAgro in #Uzbekistan by ignoring reports of NGOs and failing to respond to retaliations. #FinancingRepression
📢 Our new report #FinancingRepression is out!

Through data analysis & 5 case studies ( #Azerbaijan #Egypt #Tajikistan #Uzbekistan #Vietnam), the report shows why devt banks should rethink how they invest in countries with closed civic space.

Providing funding to a repressive regime to construct the world's highest dam is clearly a recipe for disaster.
Yet, today the #WorldBank will vote on the #Rogun dam in #Tajikistan, despite it risks displacing +60,000 ppl.

This is such a brilliant thread about our government in denial about COVID and Long COVID
Actually, all you need from that paragraph is this:
"employment rate fall over the last five years, which has been largely driven by a significant rise in the number of people out of work due to long-term ill health"

Not a single mention of Long Covid in the Get Britain Working White Paper.

Govt still ignoring NHS staff & frontline workers, who put their lives on the line during the pandemic, now suffering with the condition.

We urgently need to recognise Long Covid as an occupational disease.
