I read this yesterday, and the post stuck with me.

I believe if you’re here— you’re not in a “fuge state.”

You know what’s at stake; you’re taking action by staying aware and spreading the word.

It’s good to be here with you 💚
Being a historian, people ask me if I think the US is living through Germany 1933.

I answer no, analogies are always imperfect but to me it feels more like Russia 1999: a blatant theft of state assets and liberals in a fugue state, refusing to believe the arc of progress is bending against them.

Federal workers are held accountable to their supervisors and the American people - not Elon Musk and his DOGE cronies. It’s time for my colleagues on the other side of the aisle to stand up for our civil servants. It’s time to #pushback. See part one of my message here:

Gov. Mills: I’ll comply with the state and federal laws

Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds.

This is why you fight these cowards.

The moment you stand up to them, they crumble.

Homan has nothing. The Fourth Amendment is clear and I am well within my duties to educate people of their rights.

He can threaten me with jail and call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else.

Waking up to the start of a new workweek. Reminders:

1) employees who have been terminated have the right to a performance appraisal. Be sure to give them one.
2) terminated employees can send any appraisal refuting their letter up the chain of command (including HR and Dep. Dir.). Make a record.

10) care for yourself in a healthy way. Be wary of alcohol or too much stress eating. Don’t let them win by hurting yourself.

Know you are appreciated and valued. Have a good start to the workweek.

“All of these orders are further evidence that this administration is motivated not by efficiency, but by cruelty and a total disregard for the government services that will be lost,” Greenwald said.

If you are still connected, might as well try. It makes for good documentation if nothing else.

Let me know. So far only this one anecdote.
