Proudly representing Maryland’s 2nd Congressional District. Dad, husband, former public school teacher, and county executive. Always Ravens + Orioles.
🚨The new Epstein emails are disturbing and reinforce one thing: the American people deserve full transparency.

If Trump truly has nothing to hide, he’d be demanding the release of the files—not working with Speaker Johnson to block them.

#HandsOff healthcare.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social are not done fighting to lower costs and protect coverage. That's why I joined a discharge petition to force a vote to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies & prevent crushing premium hikes.

We just need 3 Republicans to stand with us.

I voted NO on the harmful GOP budget resolution.
November 13, 2025 at 2:27 AM
We can reopen the government responsibly, but tonight’s bill does the opposite:

1️⃣ Nothing to address healthcare costs
2️⃣ Gives Trump power to slash funds later
3️⃣ Allows senators to take home million-dollar checks

Great to join @jimsciutto.bsky.social on @cnn.comto explain why I'm voting no.

I'm pushing back against the GOP’s reckless spending bill that:

📈Hikes healthcare costs for 20 million Americans
❌Does nothing to stop future budget cuts by Trump
🚨Gives senators million-dollar payouts.

I'm opposing it.
November 12, 2025 at 10:57 PM
@housedemocrats.bsky.social stand united in the fight to protect healthcare for the American people.

That’s one of the many reasons I’m voting NO on the GOP’s continuing resolution.

🚨 New emails show Trump knew about Epstein’s activities and spent hours with one of his victims.

It’s disturbing—and yet Trump and Speaker Johnson are blocking the release of the Epstein files.

If you have nothing to hide, prove it. #ReleaseTheFiles

Happy #VeteransDay! 🇺🇸

Our veterans put everything on the line to protect our country and defend our freedoms. Today and every day, let’s honor their courage and recommit to serving them as they have served us.

Day 40 of the GOP shutdown—the longest in U.S. history.

Federal workers are still unpaid. Families are going hungry. Flights are getting canceled. Healthcare costs have skyrocketed.

It’s past time for Trump and House GOP to end their reckless shutdown.

“I’m calling on the Trump administration to release all of the money appropriated by Congress to help feed hungry Americans,” Olszewski said. “Hungry children should not be used as political pawns.”

Federal workers and American families are suffering and being used as political pawns.

It's wrong.

Today marks the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.

Federal workers are suffering, families are hungry, and Americans are being denied essential services—all while Congress sits empty.

It’s time for Johnson & Trump to come to the table and reopen the government.
November 5, 2025 at 10:37 PM
Food pantry demand is soaring, & it will only get worse with Trump's unlawful withholding of SNAP funds.

Our community, including the Assistance Center of Towson Churches, is stepping up to feed our neighbors. But it’s on the Admin to release these funds. Hungry kids aren’t political pawns.

At my town hall, a constituent asked why Speaker Johnson is refusing to swear in Rep.-elect Grijalva.

The answer? Because she's the final vote to force action on releasing the Epstein files.

Protecting child predators instead of democracy is shameful.

We can compromise without compromising our values.

Glad to see Rep. Hurd, Rep. Bacon (R), Rep. Gottheimer (D), & Rep. Suozzi (D)'s bipartisan effort to end this shutdown & protect healthcare. If it prevents the Admin from cutting essential programs in the future, it’s a framework worth considering.

Day 33 of the government shutdown.
5 weeks straight of canceled votes.

We should be here in Washington, D.C. to find solutions, but Speaker Johnson won't bring us back. We must get to work.

Baltimore is stepping up where Trump and House Republicans won’t.

As the shutdown threatens federal workers and families, @mayorbmscott.bsky.social is investing $4.68M to support food, housing, and child care.

Proud to see Baltimore City leading with compassion and action.

For the first time in history, SNAP won’t be funded during a shutdown.

Trump already cut $186B from SNAP in July—now he’s illegally blocking November benefits for 42M Americans, including 16M kids, 8M seniors & 1.2M veterans.

Follow the law. Fund SNAP now.

Seniors deserve the resources they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Great to join the Baltimore County Department of Aging’s Power of Expo in Timonium yesterday to celebrate and support our Marylander seniors!

Federal workers are patriots, not pawns.

It’s time for House Republicans to end the shutdown so they can get paid and put food on the table.
October 27, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Social Security benefits are rising 2.8%—about $56 a month.

It’s a needed boost for seniors, but it’s only necessary because Trump’s tariffs & shutdown chaos have driven prices up across the board. Seniors deserve to keep more of what they’ve earned. thehill.com/business/557...
