Lil intro post! Hi, my name is Kat and I'm a 3D artist working in video games, and in my spare time I like to experiment with traditional media and draw ttrpg-inspired stuff

I've seen an uptick in art and design tests essentially expecting an all-knowing all-skilled developer to land in their laps, resulting in people with incredible skills getting rejected because they just needed a little support in a single area.

I don't get how people don't realize that a technology that replaces junior and entry level positions in a field destroys that field.
There's no skipping steps. You have to be a junior before you can be a senior, and if you don't have senior people, you don't have a field.

I remember Anna letting me try a very early build of Crescent County while I was pitching Trash Goblin with @spiltmilkstudios.bsky.social like 2 years ago.
