I believe it was Dostoyevsky who said “Later, Fucker”.

Irish abroad in Seattle. Longtime appreciator of quality nonsense.
This is quite possible but I’m more leaning on the side of a liar convincing an apathetic, useless waste of a vote to capitulate yet again.

They know Johnson is not acting in good faith but they’re so used to doing literally nothing that when the shit hits the fan it’s all they can think of.
To be clear: D senators trusting R senators who promise a vote on ACA subsidies at some future point is nothing more that a liar convincing a sucker. A sucker for believing the lie, and for believing that Johnson will ever bring it up in the House.

Food supplement makers should get into the bank vault business.

Imagine cracking a safe and then being faced with a foil lid to peel off. It comes off easy but leaves a paper film. It comes off in pieces but leaves little fragments all around the edge. You get to picking and then the cops show up.

Here's a TV archive treat for you.

We've digitised a 1966 UTV documentary on Ernest Shackleton to be screened for the first time since broadcast, this Saturday.
It's wonderful.

I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving.

There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later.

They. Are. Breaking. The. Law.

Check out the new 2026 Mustang FX Package - short for Fox Package, with unique wheels, white accents and badging, and a unique interior treatment that’s totally tubular.

Petition to rename the United States of America to the People’s Republic of the States of America.
Exactly as predicted, now that DOGE has scraped all your personal data from government agencies, it's all being given to Peter Thiel's Palantir. It was always going to be Peter, who has dreamed of dictatorship for decades, patiently built his "political project". 1/

So tired right now. I can’t remember the last time anything meant anything. It’s all just words now. Meaningless words. Slung together in patterns designed to infuriate us.
Exciting new ground in Centrist science being broken in the Irish Times this morning.

Splitting the very atom of meaning to reveal this previously only-theorised new Centrist element fused within:

They’re mean enough to their own or anybody under the age of 75.

Some better advice would be to do something about the MAGA core intent on looting the country instead of sitting comfortably taking turns announcing who’s the most saddened by it all.

Really incredible story unraveling in this thread, where Amazon and other sites have seemingly been able to sell an academic textbook that was withdrawn in 2021 and never actually printed or published, without the knowledge of the press, editors or contributors. Something has gone deeply wrong!
Hi Chloe,
This is news to me (and to my editor at Routledge.) I'm shocked to find this out. I assume that this is somehow a pirated edition. Does it include the section on Neurodiversity? Part VIII?
