Fun fact: I changed my profile to reflect actual information about me rather than a funny verse. If you want to see the ballad I used on my extinct x account, you're going to have to look it up - sorry!
I finally got around to completing my 🦋 profile. The bad news: I can't find the original banner image photo I used in the other app (for now, it's a clip from Cat Street Art). The good news: I can quote the entire verse from Mr. Henry Carey's ancient drinking ballad instead of having to shorten it 🤷‍♀️

A professor of environmental sciences gives a quick punchy take on the "eye-popping" numbers re. how clean air promotes economic growth.

An EPA analysis of 20 years of the Clean Air Act (1970-90) found the economic benefits of the regulations were about 42X greater than the costs.

No pay wall.
America’s clean air rules boost health and the economy − here’s what EPA’s new deregulation plans ignore
Clean air has become one of America’s best investments, returning $10 for every $1 spent on regulations, by one estimate.

If you're 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations.

If you're 45, that number is 74.7%.

If you're under 30, the number is 100%.

A group of uncleared, unvetted, civilians have gained access to all of my federal records including military personnel, retirement and disability. They are reportedly feeding them into AI. I want them arrested and charged with federal crimes.

Right fucking now!

How is this even a discussion?

Donald Trump and his fellas are no different than the mobsters in Goodfellas. You don't want them calling the shots.

Remember, it’s not okay to talk about gun control after a mass shooting because that’s ’politicizing it.’

But it IS okay for conservatives to lie about a climate change catastrophe as it’s happening and blame it on ‘DEI.’

Hey, I don’t make up these rules. They do.

I remember this same feeling of watching a car crash last time, and I remember at the time everyone said not to worry because none of those yahoos would be confirmed, but they were.
