Pronounced Kálina.

Trans woman with autism and ADHD. I like writing and art and creativity in general. I don't like genocide. Trying to connect with people like me.

Unwilling subject of the US, but stuck here trying to make the best of it while I can.

Grappling with the reality that mistakes are what make us human. What kind of mistakes? Spelling.
It's the middle of the night so probably safe to celebrate a little: I went to a thing with family today dressed somewhat correctly for the first time and it didn't go to total shit.

Probably a little spiteful of me to wish for neurotypical people to suddenly have neurodivergent levels of sensory experience on fireworks day, huh.

Please brain may I have one processing the experience while having the experience?

I regret not buying a bunch of those cool fashion post-lockdown masks when people were still making them. Now I can't even find the flat color I want.

Alright I gotta get off of here for a bit but if any trans people read this, I love you, and that's convenient because you deserve to be loved. Also my love is uniquely powerful and grants strength, courage, and resilience, so fuckin soak it in.

The term "general strike" has, for the past four hours, had more posts per minute on here than four of the top trending phrases.

This isn't a conspiratorial post. "Trending" on this app seems to be determined by what generates mentions, not what's posted about the most.

It's just worth noting.

Dems don't understand how much the government will be weaponized to push propaganda for Trump. No one will see Jeffries speech or their social media posts, they will see this email. This will not go to spam folders. This will make undermining the obba difficult to message against.

Two thoughts on cats, that I hope improve the world:

1. When they knock stuff off of edges, they're just playing. They're not trying to spite you.

2. When they're vocal about food, they're not lying. They're not telling you they haven't eaten, they're just telling you they're hungry. It's true.

fun fact: if someone trans is telling you about transphobia, and you're just some rando cis dipshit churning out garbage for reuters, you don't have the authority to add scare quotes around the word actually

I don't post enough about fun/normal stuff so uhhhh

My garden is doing really well! My first round of potatoes is nearly ready (planted too late for 3 harvests) and it's looking promising, maybe ~150-200 lbs? And my okra has (maybe?) decided to stop goofing around and actually grow.

I'm trying to make plans to leave the US as my life is increasingly threatened here for being trans.

Despite that reality, I'm investigating to see if it's viable to help trans people from the UK move *here* because it's comparatively so much safer.

Take care of each other.

Love and courage.

I feel like the pattern I see that differentiates right-wing and left-wing conspiratorial thinking is that right-wing conspiratorial thinking happens in response to reality being too complicated, and left-wing conspiratorial thinking happens in response to reality being too simple.

Gangs of visibly-armed red-hatted thugs at polling places. Threats of police violence against voters. Polls closed by bomb threats. Hours-long lines in conditions too dangerous for many to weather. De-facto poll tax worth a full day's work.

The 2024 election for US President was not free and fair.

There are so many posts that use this structure, as if the aesthetic of depth can magically make something profound.

For me, it does the opposite.

Even if I want to like or agree, I literally can not take this seriously.

Stop.

Someone please either talk me into or out of this: I want to start a blog or video channel or something that focuses less on "what happens next" according to history, and instead focuses on "what to do next" according to that same history. Despite the memes, all of this is, in fact, precedented.

Like, imagine the federal judiciary basically making the case for you that agents of the federal government can be viewed as an occupying force instead of as a governing body.

I'd like to clarify that this is VERY BAD but resistance requires motility and it's important to recognize vulnerabilities.
I'm not saying this will happen. But if there comes a future where the US federal government, in an attempt to consolidate power, accidentally - for all intents and purposes - dissolves itself and paves the way for states to re-federalize on their own... this is consistent with that future. #SCOTUS

I think one of the big takeaways here is not that Mamdani is a generational talent as some assert but rather that people in this country are so hungry for politicians with actual vision that any reasonably charismatic young socialist who puts in a strong ground game can pull this off elsewhere

Maybe it hasn’t been said enough or just in a while or both but having sexual predators in the headlines and seriously paid attention to is a real trigger for many of us.

One down, for now, one little bit of safety clawed back.
