Remember, what is "smut" or "adult content" has always had VERY loose boundaries where conservatives are concerned. It is a small step for them from outright porn to anything that they deem "inappropriate"... including queer themes and identities. You HAVE to hold the line for everyone.
Even if you don't purchase smut, it should be common sense that the right for anyone else to obtain it shouldn't be completely up to modern day crusaders and credit card payment processors.

As tempted as I am to make a fudanshi-esque comment on Akira looking for his man in a different school, it’s the easy way out.
I think rivals don’t communicate quite like Akira does — he’s quite upfront about it. Could be that he grew up sheltered, but it’s a kind of strength, I feel.
