very illuminating quote skeets…no wonder most of y’all are emotionally fucked. whew.
I want to hear about the first fight you ever got into. Maybe the first time you beat somebody ass or maybe the first time somebody whooped up on you.

Please don't come here with your history of being abused by your parents or your partners because this ain't that and y'all always go left

To that thing I said earlier, about love being respect in action? That means from you to you as well.

Don't disrespect yourself, or make yourself less for any reason. You need to love yourself to be free, and it starts with respect. 🫶🏾

You can do it… but you have to try really hard

My problem is that I am sooo pro “wear crocs whenever” to the point I be telling men “go get you a pair! You’ll love em!”

…but when I see men with crocs on in public, I looks the other way 😹😹

Imagine sitting on a beach and every time you’re feeling a tidbit hot and think of dipping a toe in the water, a gargantuan Kraken appears and swallows someone to the depths of Davey Jones’ locker…
Single people, what is it like dating for you now in this era?

sometimes things are so insidiously obvious from an anti-intellectual standpoint, I begin to question MY intellect…like shit cannot possibly be this far-gone but it’s been like that all along and that’s the most important thing to realize
But this would require recipients working full time for an employer who actually offers healthcare benefits. So the plan will kick millions off of ALL healthcare.

I almost exclusively use it. I treat this site like Reddit, no focus on mutuals nor engagement and super casual…I also don’t have FB, IG, snap, or any other major social media so my consumption, or intentional lack thereof, is a little abnormal compared to the masses, which I love for me.
Black Sky, If you got $10 for each minute you stayed on the “discover tab” how much would you have?

I went to Carmel a couple of years ago on some random shit, one of the most sundown town ass places I’ve ever spent more than 5 minutes in and I live in Ohio 😭 I need to give Indy another chance but maybe after 2028…really the whole Midwest can be packed up frfr 😩
Indiana is easy to piss on. I know that. I live here. But I want to say a few things:

1) Yes they are the Indiana Pacers, but they play in Indianapolis. Same as the Timberwolves.

2) Black people live here. In pockets, but we live here. We raise families here.

3) There are a lot of blue dots

folks with melanin screaming that they can’t breathe while being kidnapped by the carceral state…American as apple pie.
Don’t you dare look away, White America. Regardless of your vote, if you’re a white American, you share responsibility for this.

This family showed up to their Immigration appointment hopeful, only for I.C.E. to kidnap mom and child. This’ll only, I mean ONLY get worse in the coming months, years.

never got to meet my maternal grandma but from what I’ve been told she was a literal angel and I believe it, I’ve always felt connected to and protected by her.

my paternal grandma was the one I got to have growing up and she was also an angel, I still listen to her voicemails, I miss her so much.
Did you have:

A: Two nice grandmas
B: Two mean grandmas
C: A nice grandma and a mean grandma

I think most people had C

Harriet Tubman's lifetime overlapped with Thomas Jefferson's and Ronald Reagan's.

That's how close we are to enslavement.
how closely removed most black Americans are from enslavement…it’s so fascinating that folks think descendants are 6+ generations removed when it’s more like 4 at best, usually less. I’m 30 and only 2 gens removed.
What’s one historical moment you wish more people actually understood deeply?

LMAO except Black veterans werent able to access their GI Bill benefits without a FIGHT. FOH
This is your country, your Daddy fought for your rights. Don't let the trash running it now take that from you.
Ask your Daddy, all Vets returning from Vietnam were treated like trash. It took 2 generations to say "Thank You for your Service". Give your Dad a bigger hug.

I had a roommate whose great grand mother died at like 103-ish a few years ago. Like in 2020. She told stories of her mother’s who was the last (or first considering) in her family born into slavery right before she was freed. So it is definitely 4 at best.
