This idea of sex, by default, is usually assumed to follow the heterosexual mating pattern of course, and that within ideas of our bodies being "designed" for the purpose of making babies. It is a practically biblical concept of sex that doesn't care about human diversity or self determination.

Whether it’s gay sex, abortion, or gender affirming health care, politicians should stop channelling their discomfort over what other people choose to do with their bodies into laws that strip entire groups of people of their safety, health, and freedom. Just saying.

I lived through Section 28, and impact it had on so many young people's lives. Labour's stance on trans children will be remembered with the same horror and disbelief we have for that piece of legislation now. This is a policy based on a minority opinion over fact, and will harm trans young people.
