Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.

If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.

Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

The Trump admin is dismantling Freedom of Information Act offices. Then the offices send out emails like, “Hello, the FOIA office has been placed on admin leave and is unable to respond to any emails.” The lengths this admin will go to ensure zero transparency with the American people is astounding.

Everyone is blaming Waltz, but why did no one—not even the Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard—say that they should not be discussing classified information on Signal.
"A senior administration official told POLITICO on Monday afternoon that they are involved in multiple text threads with other administration staffers on what to do with Waltz"

"'Half of them are saying he’s never going to survive or shouldn’t survive'"

I’ve been a lot more limiting on my social media usage for the past year which shocker, has improved my mental health, but I also think it helped me work on being a lot less snarky and snippy. Being too online can really affect how you treat others, both online and offline.

Republicans snuck a provision into the rule for the CR that would preemptively surrender congressional authority to block tariffs.

When House Republicans vote for this rule today, they will also be voting to support Trump's tariffs and all the resulting damage to the US economy

Musk’s justification is that “the software engineers at DOGE could be earning millions of dollars a year” but are instead earning a small fraction of that as federal employees.
