What’s the unsettling background noise in the studio this week on the set of @briefingwithpsaki.bsky.social — sounds like sirens(?) — is it an issue with a mic?

Parts of the Constitution were erased from the Library of Congress website, including the section featuring the foreign emoluments clause.

The removal was blamed on a "coding error."

Here's a reminder of what the clause says, just in case Congress ever decides to enforce it...

LA was only the beginning… a ‘test’, if you wanna call it that
A memo obtained by TNR signals top-level DHS discussions about using the military to combat illegal immigration—and not just at the border. It suggests that DHS is anticipating uses of the military in urban centers, noting that L.A.-style operations may be needed “for years to come.”

Amazing. NYT has more confirmation that Trump's decision to bomb Iran was motivated in large part by the way the Israeli strikes were "playing" on Fox News, which drove him to want credit for it

These ICE agents are an embarrassment to law enforcement. Imagine being so afraid of being a public servant that they have to cover their face. Under no circumstances should any arresting officer be lawfully allowed to shield his/her identity.

They were supposed to be deporting “gang members” and “criminals.”

So far, they have kidnapped people working their day jobs and folks lawfully showing up for their immigration court appearances…

It was always a lie.

I served 10 years in the USAF.

Morale, at this moment, is incredibly low. The elephant in the room is we hardly have enough people volunteering to serve relative to the MASSIVE need.

Knee jerk decisions like LA and now Iran don’t help. Few want to be forced to do something questionable.
