One thing that does not get discussed nearly often enough about the process of growing older is how you feel obligated to keep up with fewer and fewer trends as time passes, and what a liberating experience that can be.

It just struck me that as there are an enormous number of illegal arrests going on nowadays, it's in the best interest of nearly everyone being arrested to demand a trial by jury.
It's also vital that people sympathetic to their cause report for jury duty when called to do so.

I'm a Padres fan living here in Los Angeles, and I have to grudgingly admit that the one thing that I respect about Dodgers fans is how they absolutely do not give a shit what the rest of the country (and Canada) thinks about them.
It is a moral failing to root for the Dodgers if you are not from Los Angeles, almost as severe as the moral failing of being from Los Angeles.
