"Negotiating for health care" is a concept that will only appeal to folks (mostly younger men) with a burning desire to be an Ayn Rand hero, no significant health issues, a considerable amount of disposable income, and a reliable safety net to fall back on when things fall apart.

Because there’s nothing the average person wants to do more than enter into negotiations over health insurance with a giant company who holds all the leverage.
