“It’s important not to have this place be an echo chamber” is something that sounds correct but falls apart when you realize it actually means pretending arguments done in bad faith are genuine. It’s the “I’m just asking questions” of social media

I was in Boy Scouts, and I remember when we would go camping for a weekend and wouldn’t have access to showers until we got back. So when I finally got home, it was like the best shower. You felt brand new. That’s what getting on this app feels like after the last few years of that other place.
