The filibuster is so fundamentally anti-democratic that forcing the authoritarian party to kill it so that they could keep taking health care and food away from Americans was probably the cleanest out from the damn thing, yet this Cones of Duneshire-ass opposition party loves rules more than wins.

Even if the Senate voted to extend ACA subsidies, the GOP-controlled House is unlikely to allow a vote on them.

And there's of course no guarantee that Trump would even go along with a deal.

The cruel irony is that this will end up hurting Republican states the most.

We believe healthcare is a right for every American.

But starting today, millions of people will be notified that they are being priced out of their insurance thanks to Republican policies.

Enough is enough. The GOP may shut down the government, but we will stand tall for YOU.

It is a fact that people are being kidnapped and sent to disappear in detainment centers never to be heard from again in 2025's America

For the longest time, I have blamed myself for many of the failures I had in my junior years of high school and college

But the truth was, while some people were standing on the shoulders of giants, I was standing on a pile of rubble and ruins

It is my personal opinion that the blue state governors and lawmakers need to take a look at their states local law enforcement and think of strategies to push out sheriffs and head of agencies that are Trump sympathizers

The law, Posse Comitatus, only states that the federal government cannot use the military for domestic law enforcement.

Military can absolutely be used when it is putting down a rebellion or an insurrection

It also does not forbid the government from creating a paramilitary force

The battle for the midterm by stopping Republican gerrymandering is an important fight

But let's not kid ourselves, Trump and the current Republican party is not going to peaceful transition power over to Democrats if they win over the elections

They have no intentions on relinquishing power

I have heard people tell me so many times that mixing wildly different ideas or paths or things won't work

And they're right, because I listened to them...

But I have a feeling that is going to come an end, because I realized I do know what I'm talking about

I am so goddamn tired of this take that AI will have no economic harms at all and just bring nothing but positives. It is so incredibly dangerous to just keep on keeping on.

You know what an entrepreneur's dream come true is? Having customers with money to spend, and failure not leading to poverty.
And we will be able to innovate and create more with less.

It's an entrepreneurs dream come true. What took paying a lot of people to do , someone can do them self.

And the tech is so advanced there will be applications and businesses we never imagined
Mark, please don't tow the ridiculous line that the only impact of AI will be more jobs. We will be able to do more with less. Decades of automation has increased productivity and increased inequality. Yes people lost jobs and got new ones. Many jobs paid less and were less secure.

A bill banning basic income programs has passed the Texas Senate and now needs to also be passed by the House. If passed, it would join Idaho, Iowa, Arkansas, and South Dakota in such a ban. Billionaires are funding these efforts. They are afraid of UBI.

Bill banning Harris County's universal basic income program passes Texas Senate

Texas Sen. Paul Bettencourt, one of Uplift Harris' most vocal critics and the author of Senate Bill 2010, labeled the program "lottery socialism" in a Thursday news release.

And the stuff that the billionaires are pulling at the state level, state by state, is pouring gasoline all over dry tinder. They want to stop universal basic income from happening and they don't seem to realize, that's the thing they should be spending money on to make happen to avoid pitchforks.

The alt-right MAGA infection didn’t begin with Trump. It started quietly—in fringe counties across rural southern regions, dismissed by the Republican establishment. But slowly, far-right ideologues gained footholds in local governments

Universal benefits like UBI are fast, dignified & fraud-resistant. Everyone gets the same amount. No gatekeepers. No prove you’re poor forms.

Then, at tax time, those making more pay more through progressive taxes. No extra forms. No wasted overhead. Just equity without cruelty.

Thank you so much, Senator Van Hollen, the history books will remember your action as a shining beacon of light in these dark chapters of the United States

I pray for the safe return of Mr. Garcia, and I pray that this injustice will be undone. God bless America

If Trump can disappear legal residents without due process, what’s to stop him from doing the same to U.S. citizens who oppose him?

Either everyone has due process — or no one does.
