Most people would be deeply broken down facing the challenges I faced in the last decade

And I am tired of endlessly blaming myself, because deep down I know I'm here not just to survive but to thrive

And I defy the metaphorical pipelines I was supposed to be pushed down to

The Democrats need to illegitimatize Trump and the Republicans at every turn, to fight for the hearts and mind of the American people and the military personnel

They need to position themselves as the defender of the Constitution and rule of law, to win over as much support as possible.

I think now it is a good time for the Democrats as a whole to position themselves as the restorer of the Constitution, democracy and rule of law

The Republican party is no more, it is the MAGA cult now, and the Democrats need to paint them as the party of crime and the un-constitutionals

The Trump regime is staffing the federal government and agency with people that are only loyal to him, from the FBI to the BLS

It is foolish for blue state with a democratic trifecta to not start doing the same thing. They need to staff blue state law enforcement with people loyal to democracy

If the time ever comes that Trump tries to declare Democratic politicians insurrectionists/foreign assets, and tries to take over local law enforcement, at least on a state level there won't be as much Trump collaborators

They already normalized the idea habeas corpus doesn't apply to everyone, despite it blatantly being against the spirit of the law, so what due process is left to protect anyone from just being accused of a rebel or insurrectionists?
August 15, 2025 at 7:51 AM
Besides what is there to stop the federal government from declaring that an insurrection or rebellion is happening?

What guardrails are left in place to protect the federal government from accusing anyone of being a spy or a rebel?

ICE for all intends and purposes, with it's funding, with it's student loan forgiveness program and sign on bonus comparable to the US military, is a 5th branch of the military now

But since it's a federal agency, like the FBI, it's a paramilitary force that could be used domestically

Blue state governors, especially blue state with Democratic trifectas need to prepare for the inevitable reality when Trump and his cronies refuse to certify legitimate elections results

The gerrymander battle shouldn't be the end all be all of the Democratic strategy

And the stuff that the billionaires are pulling at the state level, state by state, is pouring gasoline all over dry tinder. They want to stop universal basic income from happening and they don't seem to realize, that's the thing they should be spending money on to make happen to avoid pitchforks.
A bill banning basic income programs has passed the Texas Senate and now needs to also be passed by the House. If passed, it would join Idaho, Iowa, Arkansas, and South Dakota in such a ban. Billionaires are funding these efforts. They are afraid of UBI.

Bill banning Harris County's universal basic income program passes Texas Senate

Texas Sen. Paul Bettencourt, one of Uplift Harris' most vocal critics and the author of Senate Bill 2010, labeled the program "lottery socialism" in a Thursday news release.
