I did an event in DC & there was a party for donors etc after. Was talking to 2 ppl & I said "Things are so bad." They said "No this is how it is. Things swing one way, then another. It's normal."

That's when I realized why Dems are toothless. They have no idea what this is. Frogs boiling in water.

The #CFP absolutely must get rid of this asinine auto-bye seeding approach pretty much immediately after the final. This matchup for the #1 overall seed is a travesty. #Oregon #OhioState

There are a few big flaws to fix with the #CFP process next year, but anyone that doesn't love this isn't a college football fan. #Texas #ASU

In Georgia, a mom facing eviction reached out to DFCS for help. They offered her nothing. Soon the agency took her kids away because of "inadequate housing."

The state then paid *$6,200 a month* to house her kids in foster care.

One of the most important and infuriating stories I read this year:
When Families Need Housing, Georgia Will Pay for Foster Care Rather Than Provide Assistance
In more than 700 cases over five years, Georgia reported inadequate housing as the sole reason for taking a child into foster care, a WABE and ProPublica analysis found. Advocates say it would be chea...

The usual suspects are out there yelling "There are 23 million government workers! Fire most of them!" No awareness that most work for local governments, and most of *them* are schoolteachers. Federal employment hasn't grown since the 1950s

“We found there’s this perfect one-to-one relationship. If a city increased its road capacity by 10% then driving in that city went up by 10%.” Still one of the best articles on why building bigger roads leads to more driving. What's Up With That: Building Bigger Roads Actually Makes Traffic Worse
The concept is called induced demand, which is economist-speak for when increasing the supply of something (like roads) makes people want that thing even more. Though some traffic engineers made note ...

As investment flees some American downtowns, we are proud to be in the midst of billions in private investment and redevelopment in Downtown Kansas City.

Projects like 800 Grand will bring new residents, jobs, and activate long vacant lots. Kansas City remains on the rise.

In US cities, ~2/3 of crash deaths occur on streets owned by the state – not local gov.

Outdated, deadly state roads are preventing cities from building the safe, comfortable, and transit-friendly streets that residents want.

All of the post-election analysis and punditry feels so pointless given that the most commonly cited issues from the voters are based on beliefs that are objectively not true. I don't know how you effectively campaign against a huge segment of society now living outside of objective reality.
