Chemist, teacher, lover of Magic, DnD, Diablo, and so much more. He/Him
The timing of the marvel reveals is weird, but I choose to look at it like multitasking. I can walk and chew bubble gum. I can enjoy the Lorwyn story and the marvel reveals.

The secret, captain, is that even the worst magic sets are still good. Prophecy had the avatars. Born of the Gods had Brimaz and Satyr Wayfinder. Homelands had merchant scroll and serrated arrows. Saviors of Kamigawa had cards that can be played in a game of magic the gathering.

THESE are the top 10 WORST Magic sets of ALL TIME, as voted by YOU. Some number of UB sets was the clear winner (loser?) with $16 of the vote. After that was a general disdain for things. Look at this graph. #EDH #Commander #EDHREC #CMDR #STATS #STATISTICS #VOTERSUPPRESSION #AETHERDRIFT #LIST

Illinois is launching a first-of-its-kind legal hotline for LGBTQ+ individuals — Illinois Pride Connect.

As the only state in the nation that will provide free legal advice to protect the LGBTQ+ community, we'll help fight ignorance with information and cruelty with compassion.

This warms my heart. I've been on both sides of this interaction and its been life changing and affirming every time.
I love this so much and I am absolutely tearing up about it. The gentleness and plainness of this, the way he just lets her be her (and she seems so damn lovely, who wouldn’t?), the generosity.

It isn’t going to solve the world’s problems, but this kind of humanity is a hell of a start.

This is fucking insane. Every single convention, sporting event, or gathering will basically cease to exist.
The State Department is proposing requiring applicants for business and tourist visas to post a bond of up to $15,000 to enter the United States, a move that may make the process unaffordable for many.

EoE is already my favorite set just for this card. Not even the mechanics really. This is honestly my new favorite art in Magic.

The EoE angels being remnants of stars that turned into black holes is the coolest thing Magic has ever done.

With the entire FF set revealed, I am very disappointed. So much overrepresentation of 7/14 in the set. I knew this would happen, as it always does, but with the commander decks I was hoping for a better spread in the main set. Shame we couldn't get that.

The bonus sheet has beautiful art. Some of the card choices to attach to said arts have been questionable. This, however, is perfect.

I am so glad these moments got into the set. I'm not crying you're crying.

I am enjoying the FF reveals so far and I am still hoping the main set is more balanced. I am getting more and more annoyed that every promo is 7/10/14. Secret Lair: FF weapons is the perfect place to put in the weapons that show up throughout the series...or a third buster sword I guess.

Now that we have seen the opening reveals for FFxMTG, I'm very excited. I know FFV will get like 4 cards and be forgotten as always but I can enjoy the other games too. The Cid variants have already got me deck building.

I've been learning more about MTG lore lately, I love the rich stories and characters ! The evil Yawgmoth inpired me this artwork. Thank you @spice8rack.bsky.social and "the Lorebrarians" (you can find them on youtube), for helping me understand the lore better !

starting a thread of these images living in a folder on my desktop called #weirdmagic. it's my outlet for the surreal, late-nite, existential, yet playful dread that overlaps with this game in a (hopefully) lighthearted way.

that's not well written, but you get it.

Over 50% of nonviolent movements to overthrow governments are successful within one year of their peak.

The key is to engage over 3.5% of the country, a whole cross-section of society—everyone, in some way, can participate. Find their way on deck.

We can do this.
