There’s tribal intentionality here. The Adm seeks to make public examples of individuals they feel will be seen as “the other.” Folks who don’t have the same level of “Americanness.” Don is a fearless journalist & a proud gay black man. Therefore he’s the first prominent journalist to be arrested.

The enduring lesson of Jan 6th is that there is no bottom to current reality. It proved that the most heinous treasonous acts had no consequences. That those who knew better willfully killed their conscience for 1 more tiny sliver of power. It’s a dark day to remember & reconciling it is even harder
