There’s tribal intentionality here. The Adm seeks to make public examples of individuals they feel will be seen as “the other.” Folks who don’t have the same level of “Americanness.” Don is a fearless journalist & a proud gay black man. Therefore he’s the first prominent journalist to be arrested.
“Former CNN anchor and independent journalist Don Lemon has been arrested by federal agents investigating an anti-ICE protest that disrupted a Minnesota church service, according to his attorney.”

This MS NOW documentary from Houston shows 1.) federal officers appearing to ram an immigrant’s van with their vehicle, 2.) officers placing a high school student in a chokehold and 3.) confiscating the 16-year-old’s phone (which was later found to have been sold at a tech-for-cash pawn shop kiosk)

This may be Gavin's first misstep in his shadow campaign. The leaders he's criticizing are trying to support Ukraine, hold NATO together, preserve democracy and not tank the global economy because our citizenry was angry about $6 bags of Doritos.

“In normal liberal democracy terms, the United States is in bad shape,” the international-relations scholar Nicholas Grossman wrote recently. But, he went on, considering that the country is struggling against an attempted authoritarian takeover, “we’re doing pretty well."
For all that the president has done his first year in office, “the prognosis for democracy in the United States is far better today than it was at the start of Trump’s second term,” @qjurecic.bsky.social argues:
American Democracy Is Showing Signs of Life
One year into Trump’s second term, the country’s institutions and civil society are still checking his authoritarian impulses.

The VP thinking that somehow this exonerates the officer is madness. Also in the unedited version Officer Ross mutters “F-ing b*tch” after killing Renee Good. It appears the G-rated insults from Good’s wife angered him and he snapped. Questionable temperament for an officer of the law.
BREAKING: New video, apparently from the cellphone of the ICE officer who shot Renee Good, shows a different angle of the deadly Minneapolis ICE shooting. The video was obtained by Alpha News and was shared on social media by Vice President JD Vance and reposted by the White House.

The enduring lesson of Jan 6th is that there is no bottom to current reality. It proved that the most heinous treasonous acts had no consequences. That those who knew better willfully killed their conscience for 1 more tiny sliver of power. It’s a dark day to remember & reconciling it is even harder

Right now there are tens of thousands of armed Maduro/party loyalists, many Cuban trained, operating inside of Venezuela. They won't go quietly. There are two options:
1. You fight them (Iraq

2. You pay them (later
Iraq 2.0)
This all takes time too. Not easy!
