Many things will be said about this game, but what you need to know is that this was written by Chef Boyardee, the eponymous writer of Tales of Game's Studios Presents Chef Boyardee's Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa.
My only big post-game-award thought is that while Clair Obscur is obviously an excellent game (cmon, don't do the sour grapes thing, please?), it still doesn't come to mind AT ALL when I think of my favourite RPGs of the year

This happening over the span of a weekend is nuts, it makes me wonder how much of the “game” actually existed in a functional state that would cause the studio to do an investigation and decide not only was the development deceptive, but that the entire studio should be completely evaporated.

the fact that patreon employees will just straight up say, to your faces now, "I stalked your other accounts and found something in a *cartooning style* that made me personally uncomfortable so I'm taking your income away" should be way more alarming to people.
