I nearly drowned once and that is what struck me the most: the birds I could hear chirping, the beautiful sunshine in a world I was about to leave for good. Nature didn’t care at all about my impending doom. When the waves spit me out, on shore, I soaked in the uncaring day.
Like on an intellectual level of course I understood it but I just kind of expected a desaturated, low contrast sort of look, and nope, the natural world is still magnificent

Pastures are parched. Normally by this time of year we have started w the rains but nothing significant so far. We delayed rice planting until last week, two weeks later than usual. Hoping we get relief soon; can’t afford to lose this crop.
