I do think this is a point of radicalization because a lot of angry, angry normal people were ready to dig in and suffer a lot in order to make fascists suffer a little, and their resolution was sold out and made into a mockery

Dem leadership failed to keep up with the new ways things (don't) work in the Trump era.

What fight over ACA subsidies? Dems punted. There is no fight. Not even concepts of a plan about fighting. Just empty talk about fighting.

So if one side refuses to budge, the other side has to give in? Why is it always the Dems? Since we already know GOP won't give (why can't we be like them?) what's the point of even fighting - is that what you are saying? Help me here.

So what's the Dem plan after punting on this singular opportunity? What's the better choice? If Dems can't mount a stand, what stops Trump and GOP from further cutting SNAP, fed employees, medicaid and medicare, social security?

Reality is that this was the best (not great or even good, but still) opportunity and most leverage the Dems had to extract concessions or inflict pain on the GOP and Trump. Dems widly overperformed in the elections; Trump saying shutdown hurt the GOP and had to end.

Demand (need) for healthcare isn't going to decrease any time soon. With fed funds for medicaid and ACA subsidies slashed, the consumers (us) will have to make up the shortfall, with increased insurance premiums, decreased services, and higher out-of-pocket expenses.

Hey 67 seems young to to me, and I'm rapidly becoming radicalized by Senate Dem buffoons. And let's not ignore the grannies on the picket lines and marching on the streets. But yeah I don't trust any senior Dems right now.

They all just gave unanimous consent to fast track, so it’s definitely dishonest.
