WICKED should have been about the Scarecrow and Tin Man's childhoods in Boston #TheWizardOfOz #TCMParty
This makes my skin crawl. The Wizard of Oz has endured for 86 years without AI, it is misguided at best to think that this stunt is doing the movie and audiences a favor.

Not able to watch #LawrenceOfArabia tonight, but popping in to say if you ever have the opportunity to visit Wadi Rum, take it. I traveled there a few years ago and it is stunning. #TCMParty

More of the "Deborah Kerr stuck with a thirst trap" canon:

The King and I
Black Narcissus
From Here to Eternity
Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison

I'm sure there are others...

The most emotionally draining movie I've ever seen in the 9 AM slot at #TCMFF (I think 2019?). #TCMParty

Regardless, it's essential viewing.
** MUST WATCH **
Dark, tense, and morally gutting—THE OX-BOW INCIDENT (1943) is a gripping Western that’s less about shootouts and more about justice, mob mentality, and regret. At 75 minutes long, it punches way above its weight.
Airs at 8pE tonight!

"[Pope Leo XIV] is very concerned about the cultural shifts we are living through, a Copernican revolution really -- artificial intelligence, robotics, human relationships."

Would not be surprised if he writes an encyclical about this 👀🙏

Raniero Mancinelli, 86, has been a tailor for about 70 years. He made the robes that welcomed the Pope today. You can read about him in the National Catholic Reporter (check the links in the IG handles below).

Mario Cantone was absolutely hysterical last night before Now, Voyager (1942)!

He was cutting up doing his Bette Davis impression and then his Paul Henreid hit him with the iconic double cigarette light. 🔥 #TCMFF

Have a wonderful #TCMFF, everyone! Love and miss you all.

Although I have no stakes in the game, this is my official nudge for A GUY NAMED JOE ('43) on Saturday. It's a really sweet gem of a movie and I'm excited for more people to discover it.

Disruptive cinema guests are a symbol not only of increasing lack of empathy and awareness for others but also the shift to everything being content. If there is no difference between what is on a cinema screen and your phone screen why would anyone feel the need to respect it and pay attention

My favorite photos of Gene Hackman are on display at Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, IN. One of the volunteers, whose son was an extra in the movie, said Gene would often ride his bike around town during filming. He enjoyed interacting with the community and it reminded him of his Midwestern upbringing.
