My attendance record in the European Parliament was the 4th worst out of 751 MEPs, yet I managed to turn up to vote AGAINST plans to tackle Russian misinformation.
Thankfully this is of no interest to the media.

Mainstream right wing media (Telegraph et al) continue to whip up fear about ‘pensioners’ facing paying tax/and a tax hike, and this was before suggestions of tax increases coming. Everyone (including pensioners) pays tax if they are above the lower tax threshold. Someone should tell the Telegraph.

Farage has resorted to threatening to sue people who talk about his Stamp Duty avoidance via his girlfriend suddenly finding £885,000 out of thin air to buy a house.

Let’s keep talking about it, he can’t get away with his corruption & threats will not work!

‘UK public has paid £200bn to shareholders of key industries since privatisation’ (The Guardian today) - rhetoric suggests that the country would be unable to meet the cost of the triple lock for pensioners, without reference to the catastrophic costs of many industry privatisations.

UK Govt must change course.

Increase purchasing power of the bottom 50%.

Poorest 20% pay higher proportion of income in taxes than the richest 20%. WRONG

At the very least abolish VAT on domestic fuel, reduce std rate of VAT, lift personal allowance by £1,000.

Shift the cost to the rich.
Why the reshuffle alone won’t change the government’s fortunes
"For better electoral fortunes, the government needs to junk neoliberal policies, never-ending austerity; directly invest in infrastructure and redistribute income and wealth."

Why isn’t THIS the front page story right now? Net migration to the UK halved from 2023 to 2024 (Government data shared by The Guardian). There is no problem with migration in the UK, it is fiction whipped up by the press. BBC News should be the one presenting these facts.

‘Robinson tapping into disquiet in the country’ said UK minister.
Not all protestors are violent thugs but it’s not a good idea to associate Robinson and his ilk with public ‘disquiet’. The far right, some politicians, aided by much of the msm have inflamed the debate leading to violence.

Here’s the thing: we do not concede *one inch* to the far right. Ever. Anywhere. They are not just another political player. They are a threat to everything our ancestors fought and died to protect. They are not to be appeased. They are to be stopped. Rip down the flags wherever you see them. 3/3

Meanwhile that arrogant tosser did what the fuck he wanted.
