Listening to Michael Cerveris and Oskar Eustis at the New Orleans Book Festival healed something in me that had broken. I am perpetually grateful for opportunities that allow me to listen to enthusiastic, dedicated voices who are championing art, theater, poetry, and purpose.

Just made my daily calls to my reps. If you're nervous about talking to someone, you can leave voicemails in the early mornings, late evenings, or on weekends!

Whatever else may be true, communicating your displeasure is better than *not* communicating your displeasure.

As a phone-anxious introvert who once worked as a newspaper reporter making daily phone calls, I've learned that having a basic script for a call helps mitigate my anxiety.

5calls.org made calling my reps a breeze. The interface helped it feel like a game, despite the seriousness of our situation.

LOUISIANA PEOPLE!

I need you to call Senator Dr. Bill Cassidy, telling him to NOT confirm RFK Jr for Health Secretary.

He’s a swing vote!

It took 40 seconds of my time to call. I left a voicemail. His staff tallies the calls.

He’s a vote that can be flipped:

- he’s a doctor

- pro-vaccine🧵
