I joined the queue out of curiosity. Wow. For the record, I went to the last NBA game in London in the press box and it was the least atmospheric sporting event I've ever been to in my life, a constant hum of chat and individual shoes squeaking audible despite 20,000 people being in the room.

Apparently this was the countdown to the launch of Euro 2028, which took happened tonight. It might have made sense to say that's what it was counting down to, as I was none the wiser and there was nothing to explain it. Rubbish PR.

Nice to see that, upon reflection, the BBC has realised that its earlier headline about Trump rejecting the allegations isn't actually the real story here and should be corrected.
