More of the same middle aged ranting/dad jokes as on the old place, really, but less rising to the political bait. Springsteen, West Ham, Europe-type stuff. 🇪🇺🇮🇪🇧🇦
Wales scored the same number of digits as France, so that's a positive they can take away.

Liz Truss has read all this Epstein Files stuff and it has inspired her to go and be photographed with their main character. That's quite some judgement from the woman who used to be in charge of the country.

The world would be a better place if the rancid oxygen thieves who pretend to be politicians were treated with the contempt they deserve and people with a life experience like Ed Davey were given their attention, power and influence. This is a remarkable, humbling listen. pca.st/episode/e98a...

Good Lord. I assumed this was a joke, but no, he actually said something worse than 'I saw a tired person walk past and I was scared'. Reform actually thought getting him gave their some sort of credibility. These pathetic fools deserve one another. This is the script he's committed to now. Tragic.

Rupert Lowe has launched a new political party, not to be confused with the new political party Rupert Lowe launched in December. Both the House of Commons & Rupert Lowe's own website list Rupert Lowe, elected 18 months ago as a Reform MP, who has since founded two other parties, as an independent.

Far be it from me to make sweeping generalisations about people I've never met, but I'd take a fairly confident punt here about where he stands on flags and roundabouts.

The Dublin Agreement was a huge deterrent. People knew if they arrived in UK & had claimed elsewhere, approved or denied, they would immediately be returned. Now that data sharing is no longer an automatic right. The UK lost access to several shared mechanisms when it left the EU

Even The Day Today would have struggled to come up with this @aiannucci.bsky.social
That time when, two months into World War 1, the FT asked its readers to predict the impact the conflict would have on the map of Europe. As a game. With cash prizes: great @ftweekend.com piece by @theboysmithy.ft.com www.ft.com/content/79a4...

It's been 10 ruinous, self harming, angry years of daily proof now, and millions of the fools who dumped it on us are now dead.
Everyone knows it and everyone can see it - just bloody say it, man!!

That Nadim Zahawi clip from LBC, about London being unsafe because he walked past a tired-looking stranger near his house is painfully embarrassing. He's clearly been told 'this is the Reform script, get used to it'. He barely finishes the sentence because he knows he sounds so idiotic.

I see The Apprentice, the show that gave Trump & Hatie Katie their public profiles, & saw a former contestant struck off the medical register last week for his social media comments, has got a Little Tommy TenNames fan in the new series.
Fantastic, remind me to welcome that into my house.

Maybe the BBC could save money by stopping wasting money on public consultations asking people how they would like the BBC to spend money differently. Just a thought.

I see Jim Ratcliffe has been pressured into a textbook Faragesque non-apology, which makes him look all the more odious.

I realise there are other questions here that can hardly even be asked, and I'm not having that on my search history, but what kid wanted to meet Acker Bilk in 1994?

Funny how the billionaire Mr Bean dressalike, whose only previous political intervention was to back a nation-harming act from which he is financially insulated, quotes wildly inaccurate immigration statistics & backs Fauxrage in the same breath. Still, nice to see money makes him healthy & happy.
