The project of communities taking care of one another is harder without federal partners.

Violent crime down 10 percent. This is a big deal.
According to the latest Metro data, crime is down across the board in Nashville for 2025. These falling rates follow national trends, and come even as Metro Nashville Police Department was still 100 officers short of full staffing earlier this year.

Remember! Salt and brine work best when temperatures stay above ~15°F. As temps fall, keep it slow, stay safe, and give the NDOT folks room to work. 🦞
Snow is in the forecast and our NDOT crews are hard at work getting the roads ready for the storm.

Today, we celebrated 60 years of the Metro Human Relations Commission. The commission’s chartered authority, written in 1965, was born during a tense time, and it endures to meet this one, reflecting what we are and what we believe.
