The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city.

This is not a joke. This is not normal.

Donald Trump isn't a strongman, he's a scared man. Illinois won’t be intimidated by a wannabe dictator.

🖋️ “Stop the indefinite detention of immigrant families” hit 250 signers!

💬 Text SIGN PYXDEV to 50409
Stop the indefinite detention of immigrant families
Text SIGN PYXDEV to 50409 — The indefinite detention of immigrant families is a cruel and unethical practice that goes against fundamental human rights and American values. Children and families should not be subjected to prolonged confinement, especially in conditions that violate basic standards of dignity and care. The testimonies from inside these detention centers expose deeply disturbing realities - adults and children fighting over scarce water, inadequate medical attention for serious conditions, and intense psychological trauma. Locking up vulnerable people, many of whom are legally seeking asylum, for indefinite periods is both unjust and inhumane. We cannot allow policies that inflict such harm on innocent families. This draconian approach not only disregards human rights but also undermines America's standing as a nation of compassion and refuge. Instead of perpetuating a system of abuse, we must embrace more humane and effective alternatives to detention that uphold our moral principles while ensuring due process. I urge you to reject any legislation enabling indefinite family detention and to work toward policies that protect the well-being of immigrant children and families. We have an ethical obligation to treat all people, regardless of immigration status, with basic human decency.

What does ICE have to hide?

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a new policy that allows ICE officials to block or cancel visits by members of Congress to immigration detention facilities, whenever they “deem it appropriate” or cite vague “operational concerns.”

Not an original point but worth saying again - there is not a single element in this picture that identifies any of these folks as law enforcement agents. No badges, no uniforms, no vests. Out of context it just looks like a bunch of random guys are kidnapping a mayoral candidate.

🖋️ “Stand with Senator Padilla, defend democratic right to oversee DHS” hit 3,000 signers!

💬 Text SIGN PXLCOL to 50409
Stand with Senator Padilla, defend democratic right to oversee DHS
Text SIGN PXLCOL to 50409 — Members of Congress must stand united against the authoritarian suppression exemplified by Senator Alex Padilla's unjust detention. His rightful attempt to seek accountability from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on the crucial issue of immigration enforcement should not have been met with physical restraint and silencing.   This disturbing event lays bare the Trump administration's escalating disregard for democratic oversight and its willingness to use force to stifle dissent. Senator Padilla's questioning represented the People's voice demanding answers on policies that profoundly impact immigrant communities, workers, and all Americans. By handcuffing him for simply doing his constitutional duty, this administration has crossed a dangerous line - from combative rhetoric to overt suppression of democratic accountability.   This watershed moment calls for unwavering resistance to authoritarianism. Democratic principles must be vigorously upheld through renewed resolve and unity across the aisle. As representatives of the People, Congress cannot allow such a blatant breach of democratic norms to be normalized. Senator Padilla's courageous defiance in the face of injustice exemplifies the fearless defense of civil liberties that the moment demands. Stand firm against the rising tide of autocracy.   Uphold your sworn duty to provide oversight and accountability. Defend the right to freely question authority without threat of forcible silencing. The American people are watching, and history will judge harshly any complacency in the face of encroaching tyranny. Heed Senator Padilla's rallying cry - resist openly and relentlessly to safeguard democracy.

It's already happening.

This is why professional uniformed and identifiable agents doing high profile work like ICE raids is so important.

GOP worried about someone using the wrong bathroom instead of criminals imitating their own regime's contracted questionable agents
PHILLY: Man posing as an ICE agent robs car repair business, ties up and manhandles a woman from the Dominican Republic — “He kept saying he is immigration officer.”

It was only a matter of time before these masked vigilantes breed impersonators.
