The noise of the gravel from one person is loud, on a busy day it will be a nightmare for anyone with sensitivity to noise. If the gravel even stays in place.
The concrete seats are a horrible addition compared to wooden benches with sliths to dry quicker, are warmer and back supports

More trees would have been amazing but instead they removed trees

They have made the space less accessible
Buggies and wheelchairs will struggle on the gravel.
The seats are terriable, cold and low with no back supports.
They clearly don't want people enjoying the space, just walk through.

They might start using it as a car park yet.

They actually wanted it to look like a ruin

Especially cities built on a marsh combined with lots of rain
Having nowhere for the water to soak into the ground is a great idea

While other cities are removing concrete to create green parks
Cork is removing green parks to create another concrete plaza

Would love to know what the carbon footprint of all this concrete is?
Not to mention the removal of trees
