Total strangers talking together frightened of what T***p will do next to disrupt the lives of US citizens. We seem to have no protection against him. He doesn’t even care if he hurts people who’d voted for him now.

This and the airline industry lobbyists are what did it. Not Americans starving and paying twice as much for healthcare.

More than 2,800 flights were canceled Sunday, while Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy said the shutdown’s impact on airports is “only going to get worse.”

Thank you again for sharing your take on the film Deliver Ne from Niwhere. I'm still thinking about its vision of Springsteen's artistry, and mental health bravery. It's a superb film. 🎥

MSM has been failing us for a while though. Just look at last summer, when it accepted Trump’s denial of any connection or knowledge of Project 2025 and couldn’t stop talking about Biden’s age.
I’ve found terrific sources outside of WP, NYT, and anything on network TV.

Why would Democratic governors allow this fascist administration redraw maps all over the county to keep him in power when they could neutralize this tactic by doing it in all the blue states?

seems like, well--common sense? in short supply in some quarters?
"To any governors or state legislators out there... if you are in a position where you have the power to redraw your maps... if you have the ability to meet this moment with the urgency that it deserves, I'm calling on you to do exactly what we're doing in California and to fight fire with fire."

how does a trained police officer "accidentally shoot tear gas" anywhere? just curious.
HAPPENING NOW: Portland Police Commander Franz Schoening testifies that federal officers on Oct. 18 barraged protesters with crowd control munitions — not because of any violence but because another federal officer accidentally shot tear gas onto the roof of the ICE facility.

as Howard Cosell once wittily observed about boxing, though it is equally applicable to politics: "You can't wash mud."
This is how our government has been corrupted:
1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat
We must get big money out of politics.
It is the root of our dysfunction.

TCU to end stand-alone departments focused on women and gender, race and ethnic studies
Officials said a merger into the English department better uses resources. Faculty fear it was politically motivated, which TCU denies.
