Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

Prompted by his meeting with Vladimir Putin, yesterday Trump declared his intention to end mail-in voting in the U.S. But let's not be fooled, this isn't just his latest gambit to ensure Republicans hold the House. It's pure Trumpian authoritarianism, and it should alarm us all.

Arizonans have voted by mail for decades because it’s a safe, reliable way to make their voice heard.

Taking that away won’t make elections more secure, but it will make it harder for all Arizonans to vote, especially seniors, tribal communities, and people with disabilities.

There is no moral equivalence between bullies and the bullied, between tyranny and democracy, or between brutality and decency. No individual can be free in a society devoid of justice. There can be no liberty where brutality reigns.

The push to privatize Canada Post is a tired idea. A buyer would inevitably cut service to rural & remote Canadians, then bill taxpayers a fortune for the government's obligation to reach them.

It's a lose-lose scenario we've seen before. Necessary public services shouldn't have profit margins.
Poll finds almost 60% of Canadians oppose government sell-off of Canada Post
A new poll finds 59% of Canadians oppose a government sell-off of the financially troubled Canada Post while 26 per cent support it.
