Remember that we are where we are because Mitch McConnell chose to play politics instead of doing what he knew was the right thing to do.

The rest of our current congress have devolved into social media influencers, but Mitch should have known better.

If anyone from Apple reads it: the account recovery UI is broken (the whole process too, but that's a different story).

Trying to start the account recovery from my father-in-law's iPhone, who has text size to the max:

The Witcher season 4 is not good. Piss poor writing that hopes you really like gore. The one exception is a big Broadway-style musical number mid-season.

Yes.

I was a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan back in their early funk phase in the 80s.

Then they moved more towards rock, and I started listening to other things.

This new hour-long interview with Flea reminds me that he is very much an artist in every sense of that word to me.

With the various ICE apps under pressure to be removed from app stores, why in hell aren't these apps just Web Apps (PWAs)?

It's the super power of the web. You *can't* block it.

And before you say "but apps are better" stop. We're not debating tech here we're debating free speech.

The boys from the @flophousepodcast.com were lamenting that the fact that basic comedies just aren’t made anymore, but I’m glad to report that Fackham Hall is just that. I laughed several times, chuckled a lot, and just smiled the rest of the time. B+

Heaven Sent is the post-2005 artistic apex of #DoctorWho. It’s also, contrary to the replies, criminally underrated outside of serious DW fans. Only Sleep No More was below it in BBC’s Appreciation Index and Jessica Jones beat it for a Hugo. Talalay, Moffat, and Capaldi deserve better from SF fans.

Wonderfully thoughtful essay from Tom Bridge about being creative in general, but specifically with LLMs intruding on -- and being pushed into -- the creative process.

There's also a reference to whuffie, which I appreciated.
