I promise you'll be happier if you try TDD
I've been using an old iPhone 12 for a bit after being an Android person forever and was (sort of) coming around to iOS, but man I'll switch back to Android in a heartbeat before I "upgrade" to Liquid Glass.

"how familiar these practices look: small steps (limited WIP), rapid feedback loops, continuous testing, code review, refactoring, integration etc. Remind you of anything, perhaps something a little extreme?

Now, that surely can’t be a coincidence?"

eXtreme Programming Reborn: Code Craft & “A.I.”
Going through the practices that many software developers report improve the results they get with “A.I.” coding assistants – the ones I’ve managed to reproduce myself.* Sma…

Thinking it's time for a Wolfenstein replay.

No particular reason.

I love me some CI/CD, but debugging a devops problem can feel like the worst game of whack-a-mole. Every time you squash an error you just are hit with the next one it was hiding.

It's funny being in #Chicago on New Year's. Like what am I supposed to be watching? New York is firmly in 2025.

Like do I need to go to Navy Pier?
Where is our ball?

The further I get into a proper CI/CD workflow, I don't understand how anyone wants to work with anything less.

My extra cynical take is that Apple has been so privacy focused in their advertising for the last number of years mostly to be able to use it as a cudgel in the EU.

Obviously also to block out Facebook the first time around, but now to try and avoid working with anyone.

Spotify really has cursed us with these "Year End Wraps".

Getting some from services I would never have guessed would think this is a good idea.

No I don't need my error tracking software to remind me of all the bugs we needed to fix over the past year.

Just saw the new release of Interstella 5555 and it was really great to listen to Daft Punk live in a theater.

The video however felt less like a loving restoration than an AI upscaling of the YouTube version I'd watched the first time. Anyone have any details on that?

Hundreds of Beavers is a masterpiece. If you can see it in a theater, get to a showing. If you can't, get as many people together to watch it as you can.

Probably the best slapstick film I've seen made this century.
Extremely excited to finally make it to Hundreds of Beavers at @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social

Turn on the setting that makes it so you can't post unless you add the alt text. It's like having an alt text accountability buddy!
Advice for Newskies #1

Please use alt text when possible.

It's a great way to add context for an image. It helps visually impaired people with text to speech. It can be detected by Search so it's easier to find old posts. And its picked up by mute word filters

I'm also more likely to repost you

I need a way to filter by images on Bluesky because I keep seeing the same shitty resistance memes every fifth post... Like maybe it was good the first time?

Weird having this much Liberal engagement bait.

Not closing your locker is the gym equivalent of not returning the shopping cart.

Would take even less effort.
