This is the pattern with the Cookie's Bustle troll. They abuse free/cheap legal resources to make spurious takedowns, and then never follow up, because they have no legitimate claim. If you push back even a grain of sand, you will never hear from them again
We're back!

the good news is the translation is still up on the site and most likely will be in perpetuity because the person behind the claims is a lil bitch and always backs off when a website actually asks for proof of his claim. the key to his entire shtick is that social media/video sharing sits don't
the Cookie's Bustle nonsense continues ... the blueksy account @romhack.ing got suspended over it this time

I say this with zero irony: if you are even tangentially a part of a retro video game community, it is your civic duty to push back against this company and shun anyone who doesn't. This is fascism tapping gently at the door and as soon as you let it in, it's going to invite its friends.

This has been underreported about Cookie's Bustle. The "copyright registration" that's been used for takedowns is just a website where you can say "I own this" with zero validation. It is not an actual copyright registration! It does nothing to support their claim
FYI their "copyright registration" is almost certainly bogus (it is not a real copyright registration). When they come for you, you should ask them to provide evidence of their US copyright and you will probably never hear from them again

Cookie's Bustle - English Translation - Content
This is an English translation patch for Cookie's Bustle for the PC. This does not contain the original game. You will need to purchase the game yourself and dump it. This overlays English subtitles ...

Our first big Christmas update is with an amazing recovery of the final build of Resident Evil on Gameboy Color. Hotgen's impressive conversion that got canned. This is much closer to completion, and seems completable too. Lots to discover!

Played a few demo discs on my Saturn earlier, including a demo for Side Pocket 3.

It was mislabeled, I played Side Pocket 3 for like two hours wondering at what point the demo was going to end.

You know what, it wasn't a bad time.
