Moments before being slammed to the ground, masked ICE agents took this woman's husband - no warrant, no explanation.

This is ICE: Assaulting a distraught woman, frightened by the disappearance of her husband, in front of her children and the cameras.
I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

Strangely enough it feels like home here: The arts have an anchoring and transcendent effect that reaches across space-time dimensions. I soaked up all the feels, breathed in shared inspiration, & reflected immense gratitude for human grit, dedication, & belief in triumph over adversity.

I hope every single lawmaker in this land hear these words:

“Can you hear the voice of the children

Softly pleading for silence in a shattered world?

Angry guns preach a gospel full of hate

Blood of the innocent on their hands.”

Infrastructure projects require prioritization and on-going maintenance. Inconveniences in mass transit can and do quickly escalate into public safety issues.

With heavily-armed federal agents and National Guard troops patrolling the streets in DC, knowing our rights is critical to keeping ourselves and our communities safe.

No matter what uniform they wear, police and military troops are bound by the Constitution.

@petebuttigieg.bsky.social To say I am disappointed in you doesn't do justice to the massive harm you have inflicted upon a community I deeply care about and love. Evidence-based research--not a mention whatsoever 🤔🤨🧐

It's about time that some Catholic leadership showed up. Still, the @usccbofficial.bsky.social remains ineffectual, virtually absent, in calling out the gross inhumane ICE raids that terrorize & split up families and communities everywhere. These are not only illegal, they are cruel & immoral.
Pope Leo’s first US episcopal appointment, San Diego’s Bishop-designate Pham, a Vietnamese refugee, invites priests and faith leaders to “stand in solidarity”with migrants at courthouse on June 20, as they make court appearances.

There’s something to be said about being in the same space as the shapeshifters and heroes of one’s generation. It felt historic. Indelible. Monumental. It was.

And I was in the room where it happened.

@crunchfitness.bsky.social Per #FTC's final "click to cancel" ruling (2014) all businesses must provide a way for consumers to cancel their subscriptions as easy as it is to sign up. Requiring us to snail mail a wet signature letter via certified mail or to show up in person to cancel is stupid.
