Hmm. The US is giving $10 billion in taxpayer dollars, not appropriated by Congress, to a fake board set up by the President and which he put himself in charge of *for life*... seems very, very illegal.
Trump: "I want to let you know that United States is going to make a contribution of $10 billion to the Board of Peace." (Congress has not appropriated this money!)

Awfully hard to square the claims that ICE is focused on removing violent criminals that are so dangerous we can't let them be around with the fact that ICE tricks their targets by pretending to need help and waiting for neighborly types to respond by offering to help a stranger for free.

Emacs Bedrock kind of rocks. I've been practicing "installing" it and "uninstalling" it (literally just deleting the init.el and the "extras" folder) to prepare for training other people on getting started with Emacs, and it's just amazing.

Really, congresspeople shouldn't be working toward a long-term funding bill for DHS. Keep funding it for 2 weeks at a time with restrictions and then if it keeps behaving itself it can have 2 more weeks.
