I was raised Catholic, so I’ve paid attention to what Pope Francis advocated for. He fought for the poor, the refugee, the innocent victims of war, for peace, the marginalized, the hungry. He did much to push the church to more closely align w/ the words of Jesus. Rest in peace.

I don’t want to sound like an alarmist but.. We Americans don’t have much time left to stop this. There won’t be a constitution left to save.We need to dismantle this movement and restore faith in democracy. It needs to be a cohesive multi- front resistance. And it needs to happen NOW.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.
