"Improved indoor air quality can be achieved by: a. setting national IAQ standards. b. implementing these standards using natural &/or mechanical ventilation & can be augmented by purification & UVC strategies. Financial incentives could be offered for IAQ improvements in existing private workplaces. c. monitoring & collecting IAQ data.

Text: We've endured multiple public accusations of child abuse when people see us with our masked child. Someone approached us, got up close and berated us for several minutes. We've been filmed, questioned aggressively “why are you wearing a mask” and then followed for a long way up the street. Interesting to compare this analysis of longevity in the UK to "Excess Deaths". Their 2024 model resulted in a small +ve change in predicted longevity, relative to their model at the end of 2023.

My 83 year old mother was taken to emergency because her medications (Parkinsons & pain) were not well managed. She had never had Covid before and had been living in her own home. She was kept in a corridor for a few days until a bed became available and then she was moved to the ward. No masks anywhere (except us). I asked whether I could put an airpurifier in her room and was told “no”, she was moved to another ward and again I was told "no" to the air purifier because she was going to be moved to a shared room. She stayed in a shared room for a day or two and was moved back into a single room. A few days later they had a Covid outbreak in the ward and my mother tested positive to Covid. Suddenly there were airpurifiers in the ward and everyone wore full PPE. Covid made her Parkinson’s symptoms worse, she lost her ability to walk unassisted and started to have memory issues so she could not come back home. She was transferred into care. She declined rapidly (physically and cognitively) after that. She died early on 26/5/2024. The place that should have kept her safe, ended up killing her.

A clear sign that some hospital policy has not moved to the point of acknowledging that C19 is airborne and implementing preventions in response. Until it does, people will continue to be lost to hospital acquired infection.

As we suspected and reported previously, NACC Dep Comm Kylie Kilgour is leading investigation. Geoffrey Nettle KC is 'chief adviser'.
