I love their developments. Each and every one. The greenery, scale, and color palettes are atypically beautiful. I would love to see Optima-style developments in every corner of the country producing meaningful urban infill.

I still think of the Burger King post very frequently that was truly iconic

Right. I think electrification of the route and a direct BART tie-in is the best option rather than a three-seat ride exurb-VRL-BART. Ideally BART would directly connect with an electrified, frequent ACE that uses conventional overhead wire tech

Further incentivizing super commuters, though I know I’m speaking to the right audience here

I don’t dispute the need for Altamont transit options; I’m extremely supportive of more Altamont transit service. It just feels weird to have it funded almost entirely by the bay rather than SJJPA or something similar. The bay should put that funding into local housing and transit rather than…

I don’t believe duplicating alignments and service over Altamont is ultimately prudent when we can improve existing service significantly at much less cost.

Still extremely critical of Valley Rail Link for a number of reasons. I’m of the opinion that significantly increasing ACE frequencies (both to Stockton and Modesto + beyond) and an extension of BART along the Iron Horse Trail ROW to downtown Pleasanton to connect with ACE would be the best approach

Every single one enrages me but what is hindering the most progress and mode shift today? Probably B though D is an impressive contender. I’d also posit NSRL in Boston as suggested by others & (while ancient history) BART not going to Marin only because it would have given us half of a Geary subway

The way you make this program popular is to make it a lottery...once a year on December 31st, everyone who didn't get a ticket is entered, and wins 50% of the money collected...the mayor goes on TV at midnight and announces the winner with a big show, and fireworks...
