Your thread does a real good job interrogating the diff b/w the reception to Mamdani vs. Corbyn.
To boil it down more, I think Corbyn views the Jewish community AS an Interest whereas Mamdani treats us as a minority community WITH interests which is both closer to reality and less conspiratorial.

This isn’t completely unrelated to why it is such a bummer if/when you accidentally grab the wrong kind of smoked salmon (explicitly NOT lox, I don’t think…) at the grocery store.

I so wanted to like it but we got like 40 mins in, streaming at home, and went to bed
I never like to be that person, I hate the “just stream it and turn it off halfway” but it seemed like a normal sorta bland Dracula which is the opposite of what I expected/quite like Eggers other stuff I’ve seen.
