I don't want to say the Schumer optics are bad but Gavin Newsom just invited him on his podcast.

Chuck Schumer needs to go. The best thing he can hope for his legacy at this point is that people won't regularly piss on his grave after he kicks it.

Y'know how in Dante's Inferno, the lowest rung of Hell is frozen and is reserved for betrayers, who are chewed in Lucifer's three mouths for eternity? I think the insurance co doctors who deny patients medicine and care they need to get paid exorbitantly go there. They betray their oath every day.

Haunting article about the way authoritarianism comes to overtake the US govt during the Trump admin, called "competitive authoritarianism," where we don't have death camps, but instead use the power of the govt to chill speech and capture the executive branch.

a good part of me thinks that in addition to everything else, the reason they are scrubbing these stories is they do not want disadvantaged kids to believe they can aspire to anything other than their designated “black” or “hispanic” or “woman” job
This profile has been scrubbed from the site. Rose Ferreira grew up without reliable electricity, immigrated to NY, then survived homelessness and cancer on her way to NASA. She was so moved by images from the Webb telescope she wept. This is what’s at stake

These people don't have friends, they have useful and not useful people that can either be exploited or dismissed. Everything is transactional, so there are no real human connections, and everyone is seen through a lens of hyper, sociopathic utilitarianism.

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

Unilaterally shutting down USAID via Executive Order and merging it with State is openly illegal and Dems should immediately converge on D.C. and call for protests if Trump tries to do it.

Yes, thank you! I don't need to see the same photo collage of newspapers saying Trump was guilty for the thousandth time as if you actually said anything.
These fucking meme posters who post nothing but garbage and get tens of thousands of likes and reposts are the worst. I can’t stand this shit.
