Gavin Newsom just said the quiet part out loud:

“All this anti-woke stuff is just anti-Black. Period. Full stop.”

And he’s right. “Anti-woke” was never about ideas, it was a marketing campaign to sanitize racism, roll back progress, and make bigotry sound intellectual.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

It’s Constitution Day. So, of course, Jimmy Kimmel’s show got canceled over comments he made that the administration didn’t like. And DHS Sec’y Noem went on an ICE raid where American citizens were detained. Read on for the update you need tonight: open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

What does Jimmy Kimmel really think about Charlie Kirk? His own words:

"Senseless murder."

"A lot of extraordinarily vile responses."

"Some people are cheering this, which is something I won't ever understand."

Why is the FCC is really targeting him?

He went on to make fun of Trump for 10 mins.

➡️ Local data shows crime in California drops in nearly every major crime category.

➡️ The state just recorded the second-lowest homicide rate since 1966.

If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:

- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.

43% in emissions. That’s the reduction achieved by Helsinki after shutting down its coal-fired power stations. A bold decision, in line with the commitments made under the Paris Agreement in 2015. And Helsinki is not acting alone.
