Quiet on Holy Island today with Andy Mould, Ian Davison & Ian Kerr, nothing really new just less of yesterday's birds. Good to pop in for second helpings of the Dusky Warbler and this time manage to get some photos albeit with lots of difficulty🙂 #UKbirding #NEbirding

A nice end to what had been a fairly quiet walk around Warham Greens when I got back to North Point and in very quick succession a Yellow-browed Warbler was quickly upstaged by a calling Dusky Warbler #NorfolkBirding #UKBirding

The Olive-backed Pipit showed well at South Gare today. 3rd new Pipit of year and #270 of year. First year I’ve counted from 1st Jan & wanted to get to UK #300 by end of 2025. I now have 1 to go, this beautiful Pipit was UK #299. #ukbirding #birds #pipits

The Barred Warbler at Landguard was mostly true to type, skulking in thick privet bushes but did show very well occasionally. The Pallas's Warbler was very elusive but I did eventually manage to catch up with it. #suffolkbirding #ukbirds

WATERSWALLOWS Reservoir, Buxton, Derbyshire - Started slowly with 2 Teal which was a site tick, 4 Tufted Duck, 35 Lapwing, 1 Little Grebe and on the main quarry pool was gobsmacked to find a GREY PHALAROPE spinning in the distance. @derbyshirebirds.bsky.social #ukbirding

...also on the ringing front: we've received notification of a fantastic recovery of a Firecrest ringed here last October that was controlled a few days ago by a ringer in the Czech Republic - the first movement of a UK-ringed Firecrest to the Czech Republic or indeed to anywhere in central Europe

Lapland Bunting, Dunwich yesterday. A scarce migrant through Suffolk (rarely over winters), Lapland Bunting numbers have varied from 6-21 (av. 11) in the county over the past 10 years and is now hard to connect with, so it was nice to find this #ukbirding #suffolkbirding
