We're all on a journey through life. Some of us are walking, some of us are carrying others, some of us are dragging others. Everyone's got a burden. We may be on different paths, but we will run into each other now and again. I don't really eat cats.
MTG presents a weak argument, and a typical one for Trumpers. Anytime Trump or one of their pols is called out for bad behavior, so often it turns into a ridiculous bothsidesism. She couldn't handle a tough question from Stahl so she jumps to that.

She may be trying to change but she hasn't yet.

LESLEY STAHL: You contributed to the toxic culture. You were out there pounding, insulting people

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: You've contributed to it as well

STAHL: I want you to respond to what you have done in terms of insulting people

MTG: I'd like for you to respond to that

The whole point of a playoff is to determine a champion. If you're 10-2 and down there on the "bubble" and you don't get in, I understand the disappointment, but you weren't in serious contention for a championship anyway. I get so sick of this sort of whining. CFP's almost as bad as the Dance.

Two things: I don't know how many times I've heard people say what MTG is saying about Republicans hating Trump privately. Lots of times, I guess. But Trumpers need to hear it. And it doesn't make me think better of them. They're cowards. www.yahoo.com/news/article...

A "con job", he says...

Donald Trump has never cared about anybody but himself. I doubt he even has the capacity to care about anyone else. And more than anything else, this is why he's unsuited for the POTUS job.
"I have never seen the line this long at this food bank, This is 4x the size of every previous year...the line wraps around the building a second time..Everyone is freezing and an older lady in line had to be taken inside because she looked like she was about to pass out from being too cold..."

So much institutional knowledge lost. America is undeniably less safe because Donald Trump is a spoiled brat.

I'm not rooting for an apocalypse to happen or anything, but if it does happen I hope it happens when I'm low on toilet paper. It'd be such a waste to have a full shelf of it.

Capitalism doesn't really work when there isn't a level playing field. All the good things it's supposed to bring us as citizens disappear in this environment. Businesses no longer fear their own customers because they don't believe you have another choice. The same thing goes for democracy, btw.
Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

The evidence of corporate consolidation is everywhere.

It means more power for them and less freedom for you.
Netflix's $83 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery would mean more corporate consolidation.

Netflix, by far the #1 streamer, would take over HBO Max, the #3 streaming service.

This giant merger could violate antitrust law and hurt consumers.

Apropos of nothing...

Every year at this time I think of a nativity set my family had growing up, and sometimes I even think maybe I can find one like it. I have no nativity scene myself, mainly because I can't find one that satisfies me.

I know it's a terrible thing to say but I'm always shocked when we find the bottom of how morally repugnant the current administration is. I frequently think there is literally no bottom.

Playing victim, and yet he ends his post by insinuating his daughters have mental disorders. SMH.

Posting stupid memes after being accused of murder is the response of a sneering, spoiled punk who has been caught doing wrong and is now daring the local fuzz to take him in and risk the anger of his rich dad—a role fulfilled by Donald Trump, in this case.

The Trump apologist checklist after Trump or his administration does something awful:

1. Fake news, it didn’t happen.
2. It might’ve happened, but it would be OK if it happened.
3. So it happened, so what.

Snowstorm coming, so of course I went out and got laundry done, made sure all the trash was out and got groceries so I'm good for awhile.

Blessed to be able to be indoors during a snowstorm. Not everyone can be, as I keep reminding myself.

Trump has a gameplan of "flooding the zone" when something bad happens, in hopes of making his critics forget the real problems.

Don't lose sight of the real problems with Trump.

Trump can order Bondi and Patel to release the files. Tomorrow.

The question is, has he already ordered Bondi and Patel to destroy some of the files after they went through them months ago.

I was a poli sci major in college. I know Tom's not wrong. I understand why people are upset. But if we're being clear-eyed, we're not at fascism. We have an administration that's "waded into the pool", and has given us cause to be vigilant. That's all it is as of now, though.
My mistake has been trying to explain what "fascism" is to people who don't care what it is.

So I'm going to try something else. Let's do this as a practical thought exercise.

If America *were* fascist *today* - what would you have to do differently in your daily life? /1
