I never understood why car manufacturers made such a hard switch away from built-in screens in the center console to these ugly iPad-glued-to-dashboard setups. I'm biased, but I point to my 2019 Golf Alltrack at the last "good" car interior. Has everything today's cars have, but w/o the wonky screen

Geeked tf out over this witch hazel I found in Crothers Woods today while doing a survey. Only 10 feet tall with a 4" trunk but that is massive for this species considering were at the far northern end of its range. Blooms in the fall(!) and the fruits mature in the spring then pop open in summer

She's only 1 and 1/2 and is already helping to spread native aster seeds for next year :). Once they come up next year I'm gonna show her this video so she can see how they came from these seeds 🌼

Been working with a client to cantilever their new house over the roots of two big neighbor owned spruce trees, the original plans cut through all their roots up to the property line, had to cut a hole in the shoring to pour a corner footing and support column. Everything starting to come together!
