Doing retirement badly. Treasurer/bookkeeper/accounting guy. US Air Force veteran who’s been called anti-American. Regular churchgoer who’s been called anti-Christian.

Got a meteorology degree later in life for the hell of it. Really.

@philadelphiaeagles.bsky.social How long will you continue allowing Kevin Patullo to call plays? Unimaginative. Almost like the opposing defenses are in the Eagles huddle.

You know what’s “hilarious”?

Here I am, a guy who served as a US Air Force officer during the Cold War.

And here’s the speaker of the US House (who never served in uniform) saying I “hate America” and am a “Marxist”.

Sorry, Mikey, but you might be projecting just a wee bit.

SCOOP — Part of the reason Disney/ABC may have rushed to sort things out with Kimmel is because tomorrow they have a planned price increase for Disney+ streaming, a Disney source tells me. With subscriptions hemorrhaging since last week, they couldn’t risk losing more users with this announcement.

Brendan Carr threatening ABC on Benny Johnson's podcast reminds us it was just a year ago we learned that Johnson and other high-profile right-wing podcasters were LITERALLY ON THE KREMLIN PAYROLL and everyone on the right said "Eh, whatever, no biggie" and they're still doing their thing.

So WHO pays the tariffs again?

This won't affect most, but in the ham radio world Icom just raised their prices 15% to 25% on radios. Not a gradual increase, a "BAM" step increase. The increaes are being passed on by the retailers.

WE pay the tariffs people! Glad I got mine back in March.

Here in south-central PA (Harrisburg) we have local TV stations owned by Sinclair AND Nexstar AND Tegna.

Lucky us, huh?

i just checked Harrisburg area media outlets for the Jimmy Kimmel story. Interesting trend.

WHTM (owned by Nexstar seeking to merge with Tegna) – Nothing on the homepage
WPMT (owned by Tegna with whom Nexstar seeks to merge) – Nothing on the homepage
WGAL, WHP, Pennlive – Homepage mentions

Our local ABC station, WHTM (ABC27) is owned by Nexstar.

There is NO reference to Jimmy Kimmel on their home page. None.

The Soviet era that some of us still remember has arrived.

How bad is the news media in south-central PA (Harrisburg)? Election denier Heather Honey is from Lebanon County, right here in south-central PA.

Did the local news media cover it? Only through an AP article. No local reporter covered the story.

They don't want people to know she's local.

And you thought egg prices were high? Just wait until the crude oil market trading begins.

Does gas go to $4 or even $5/gallon (average) in the US?

And how far will stocks drop?

And there you have it.
Really important story - army officials asked soldiers to identify themselves if they don't agree with Trump's politics that way he'd get only supportive soldiers in uniform during his political rally on base. Heavier soldiers were also barred from participating.
