When a sarcastic account that now gives a genuine is filled with replies showing the worst aspects of a first past the post voting system, I can’t complain about the people who stayed home due to genocide even if their logic is flawed.

This is assuming there is actually a well defined domain called “the center” in politics, in which there isn’t.
If I were someone whose project is reviving the factional strength and electoral viability of centrist Dems, and if I was someone always banging on about meeting public opinion where it is, I think I would be counseling the centrist faction to actually be responsive to public opinion on Gaza.

Even assuming the worst about Mamdani was true, it’s not worse than what Cuomo has done. The Dems must think it’s easier for a Mayor to just do a Holocaust in NY than it is for the Mayor to do good things for the poor.
There is literally no argument against Zohran Mamdani that is anywhere in the same realm as serial sexual harassment of government employees and then hijacking $60 mil+ of taxpayer dollars to defend yourself and attack the people who tried to hold you accountable.

Sure, civilian control a good thing to uphold. Problem with this is Ken would be ok with Hitler taking control of the military, doing all the bad stuff, and when the higher-ups get tried for genocide, Ken’s ok with the “following orders” excuse because they were under “civilian control”.

I don’t have enough brain cells to argue against the “rule of law”, I just have enough to know that equal application of the law isn’t being practiced.
It’s amazing to find out at this late date how much the rule of law depended on people simply deciding, on a voluntary, daily basis, not to break the law.

By default, selecting the candidate with the most experience = selecting the oldest candidate. There’s nothing wrong with electing the candidate with more experience. Issue here is there’s no minimum requirement, thus no standard to go by.

By default, selecting the candidate with the most experience = selecting the oldest candidate. There’s nothing wrong with electing the candidate with more experience. Issue here is there’s no minimum requirement, thus no standard to go by.
